Considering the success of the 40th International Gas Conference that took place in 2008 as well as recent developments in the Hungarian and regional gas markets, it has become necessary to deviate from previous practice, and organize this greatest event of the Hungarian gas industry on an annual basis.
The chief organizer of the event this year will be E.ON Földgáz Trade Zrt, a member of the E.ON Group that makes a substantial contribution to maintaining and further improving the security of gas supply in Hungary.
This most important and most prestigious event of the Hungarian gas industry offers an excellent opportunity to discuss the events of the period immediately preceding and succeeding the change of the market model.
It is our goal to facilitate an exchange of the learnings from the change of the market model and from the gas crisis of January 2009 as well as the initiatives taken in response. We aim to outline and interpret the fundamental prerequisites of further improving security of supply, contributing thus to the continued successful operation of the Hungarian natural gas market. The event also provides the opportunity for discussing the technical-security and energy efficiency related issues of gas consumption.
